My review

★★★☆☆ (3/5)

The Power of Now is a self-development book centered around the idea of living fully in the present. The book explores how much of our stress and unhappiness comes from dwelling on the past or worrying about the future. Through reflections and explanations, the author encourages readers to focus their attention on the present and become more aware of their thoughts and emotions. The central message is that true peace and clarity can be found when we learn to step out of constant mental noise and simply experience the present moment.

While reading this book, I found several ideas and insights that were genuinely valuable. The reminder to slow down, observe our thoughts, and reconnect with the present moment is something that can be helpful in everyday life.

At the same time, I did feel that the book became somewhat repetitive at certain points. Many of the core ideas are revisited multiple times throughout the text, and I sometimes felt that the message could have been delivered more concisely. The book might have been even more impactful if it had been a bit shorter.

Despite that, it still offers meaningful reflections about mindfulness, awareness, and the way we relate to our thoughts. For readers interested in spirituality, mindfulness, or personal development, it can still be a worthwhile read.

Overall, while I appreciated the central message of the book, I personally felt that the repetition made the reading experience a bit slower than it needed to be.
