My review
★★★☆☆ (3/5)
This was a book that kept me interested from the beginning. It had that sense of mystery that makes you want to keep reading and figure out what’s really going on.
The story follows life around an academy setting, with different characters and underlying tensions that slowly unfold. There’s a central question that builds throughout the book, making you feel like everything is leading somewhere.
And that’s probably why the ending didn’t fully work for me.
There was a mystery I kept waiting to be answered… but it never really was. I kept expecting that final reveal or explanation, and when it didn’t come, it made the ending feel a bit incomplete.
It’s a bit frustrating because the build-up was there, and the story had potential to land really strongly.
Still, it was engaging enough to keep me reading, but the ending just didn’t give me the closure I was hoping for.
