My review
★★★★★ (5/5)
The Little Prince by Antoine de Saint-Exupéry is one of the most beloved and widely read books in the world. First published in 1943, this small book carries a depth and beauty that continues to resonate with readers of all ages.
Rather than being a traditional story, The Little Prince feels more like a philosophical tale disguised as a children’s book. Through the journey of a young prince traveling from planet to planet, the story gently reflects on themes such as friendship, love, loneliness, and the way adults often lose sight of what truly matters.
This is one of those rare books where almost every page contains a sentence or idea worth reflecting on. Its simplicity is what makes it so powerful. The story is short, but the meaning behind it feels timeless.
Because this book is so well known, I don’t feel the need to summarize it in detail. What I can say is that I loved every word of it and the message behind it. It’s the kind of book that can be read many times throughout life, and each time it might reveal something slightly different depending on where you are in your own journey.
For me, it is a truly beautiful book. Simple, thoughtful, and unforgettable.
A line that stayed with me:
"What is essential is invisible to the eye."
