My review

★★★★★ (5/5)

This is the first book in the beloved Harry Potter series and introduces readers to the magical world of Hogwarts.

I have to admit that I was never much of a fantasy reader. For a long time, it wasn’t a genre I naturally gravitated toward. However, a few years ago, I decided to give it a try. Around that time, a friend gave me a special illustrated edition of this book while we were watching the Harry Potter movies together every weekend, which made the experience even more special.

From the very beginning, I loved it. The introduction to the magical world, the characters, and the atmosphere all make this book incredibly immersive. It’s the kind of story that easily transports you somewhere else, in this case, to a world filled with magic, friendship, and adventure.

The illustrated edition made the reading experience even more magical. Seeing the characters and scenes visually represented added another layer to the story and made the world of Hogwarts feel even more alive.

Even though fantasy was never my usual genre, this book completely won me over. It might even be one of my favorite books, and I can easily imagine myself reading it again in the future.
