My review
★★☆☆☆ (2/5)
I discovered this book somewhat randomly while browsing Kobo Plus. At the time, it was available there for free, and since I enjoy occasionally trying new authors, I decided to give it a chance even though I wasn’t familiar with Sophie Love’s work.
I read this book in Portuguese. The story follows a romantic storyline typical of the genre, focusing on relationships, emotional conflicts, and personal decisions that shape the characters’ lives.
Overall, I found it to be an easy and light read. The narrative moves quickly and doesn’t require much effort from the reader, which can sometimes be exactly what you want when you’re looking for something simple and relaxing.
That said, the book didn’t leave a particularly strong impression on me. While it was enjoyable enough to finish, the story and characters didn’t feel especially memorable compared to other romance novels I’ve read. It’s the kind of book that can be pleasant in the moment but might not stay with you for very long afterwards.
In the end, I rated it two stars. Even though it wasn’t a book that deeply resonated with me, it still served its purpose as a light and easy read at the time.
