My review

★★★★★ (5/5)

I read this book after The Seven Husbands of Evelyn Hugo, and it definitely did not disappoint.

This is one of Taylor Jenkins Reid’s masterpieces. From the beginning, I felt so connected to the characters and the story.

The book follows the rise and fall of a fictional rock band in the 1970s, told through interviews with the band members. This format feels incredibly real, almost like you’re reading a documentary rather than a novel, which I found so unique and addictive.

What I loved the most was how every character feels important. Even though they’re all very different, you end up understanding each of them in their own way. Daisy and Billy, especially, have such a strong and complicated dynamic that keeps you hooked the whole time.

I also loved the writing style. It’s fast-paced, engaging, and so easy to read, but still manages to carry a lot of emotion.

And I have to say. Watching Daisy Jones & The Six on TV right after finishing the book made the whole experience even better. They really delivered, and I’m here for more adaptations.

If you like rockstar drama, complex relationships, and that kind of intense, magnetic chemistry between characters, this is definitely for you.
